SSN has already been obtained on first EAD. Now the question is why renew EAD if one does not intend to work?
Now EAD will be required, when you need to renew Driving License (or State ID). If H4 spouse is not driving and State ID is also not required (passport is OK as ID) then I don't see any reason for EAD.
First EAD was also not required. I did not get this done for my wife. Lawyer charged me full money minus $190. For stimulus package SSN was required, so I requested Lawyer to file EAD and I was asked $840.
I did e-filing to get EAD, then to SSA for getting SSN and then Tax Return.
Note: Based on personal experiences, if you can easily part away $340, keep on getting EAD renewed even if not required. In foreign land, who knows what is required in future - Stimulus package mishap is an example of this. A lot money is wasted in life - this may be also wasted.
I485 receipt is not proof accepted in places like DMV or SSA. I think, nowhere it is accepted except in USCIS.

I recently applied for EAD renewal and after three weeks of that I saw LUD changed on my 485 apllication for consequetive two days. Any Idea why ?
By the way my case is ACT 21 ( 485 filed on 2007 july) and my priority day is not even close to be current.
Any suggestions will be appreciated ?

According to your post, according to the agreement between you and company A, you need to pay $2 per hour until the project ends. Why did you stop paying after 4 months of his cut. I guess the project is still going rt. So Company A wants to make sure that project ended. Company A is right. If your project is still going, you need to pay him $2 per hour until it ends.

Are u the primary or dependant. If you are the dependant no issues cool and enjoy time with baby. If you are the primary then no issues till you get the GC. For primary it is not mandatory to work during the time 485 is pending. But once GC is approved then u need to start full time position with the employer.

An applicant has an Indian Bsc degree + 3years specific industry experience+training . The applicant is in Final Sem MBA. Will the applicant qualify for H1B this year. The MBA is slated to cpmlete in August this year.

I need help on my 140 filings. My situation is:
02/2004, applied EB3 LC, pending until 02/2007
10/2005, applied PERM EB2, LC & 140 approved, but unable to file 485 due to retrogession
in 02/2007, my EB3 was certified. I asked attorney to file EB3 140 to capture this earlier PD to my EB2 case.
But the attorney hired by my company refused to file another EB3 140. His reason is: it may be questioned by USCIS to file a EB3 140 after EB2 140 is approved -- my job position is downgraded. And back and forth I will still use EB2 to apply 485, then it may bring the company to a potential fraud issue, blah, blah...
I know that the company is reluctant to let me get gc quickly, so the attorney found this excuse. I did not find strong proof to refute this excuse.
Is there any legal proof (like USCIS memo, AILA Liasion meeting minute, etc) to refute this excuse and convince the employer to go ahead to file 140 for me?

Another consulting company may very well hold your H1B, but you will have to be working through them. You cannot sit on bench and they "hold" your visa. I will suggest transferring your visa ASAP to another company.
You can very well go to H4 and again go to H1B under new quota, but why take the risk? If you are not selected in lottery, you again have to wait until next year.
Get your H1 transferred and find a job agressively.
