Making it look different won't make it better. They should address the usability/functionality, sure.
It looks like they have. It you've used the iPads calendar app, it's much better than what we have in OSX. I mean, finally an agenda view!

This is scary. While I have no doubts Apple's ability to "get it" will make Microsoft's offering pale by comparison, Microsoft might be able to more than make up for it through marketing and their dominant position in the computer and home gaming market. Then, as in the past, their monopolistic practices will slowly edge out Apple.
And I guarantee you that Microsoft will be much more willing to "play ball" with the movie studios to get the best/preferred deals in offering downloadable movies.

I'm starting to think this rumor may be true. And its actually not a bad thing, My iPhone 4 is working great right now, it's plenty fast and looks awesome. Waiting a couple more months wouldnt be a bad thing. I usually wait a month after new releases anyway for demands and lines to die down.I'm curious why you would automatically upgrade at all, since you have an iPhone 4 already. What do you expect out of version 5 that you can't do now? I'm not being critical, if that's what you want go for it. I'm just curious why some people plan to upgrade every time, sight unseen.

Its interesting to see Microsoft's strategy on this - I think its only a good thing that somebody is trying to look at the whole player/content ecosystem in the same way that Apple have...that competition can only be a good thing surely?
However...some of the comments do seem to suggest they already expect to be losing the battle though - surely if you really thought you could compete with iPod/iTunes you would be a little bolder? Makes it sound half-hearted, and thats a shame.

Then the aftermarket replacement back manufacturers have actually known all along. Ha! And I thought my yellow and white backs were thicker (and wouldn't fit with all my cases) because they were cheap.

I guess the reason why iphone 5 is being delayed is something got to do with cloud + Lion + iphone + ipod touch + Celluler data.
iPhone 4 had been a good selling phone just like the previous ones but if you look into it you realize that making iphone4 is a bit costlier than the previous iphone which will be even tough for them to bring down the cost to $100 when iphone 5 comes out. So they may want to delay it abit more. (Very less likely though).
As you can see the ipad3G version have celluler data access as well psp NGP, and lots of tablet that are coming out are all having cellular access including psp phone & del streak. That leaves out ipod touch, that has only WIFI. As we know ipod touch is iphone, without a phone and even if they pack in the 3G chip to access data, then why not allow it make calls, but that would make another iphone. So i guess instead of releasing an ipod touch they might be planning to release a cheeper iphone which will be better choice than "Wifi only iphone". Which also help them sell more iphone and compete better with Android (i hope they dont do that)

I agree. Tough love is best here. It's better to have the vulnerabilities exposed in this manner than in a live scenario. Let's just hope the press from this is enough for Apple to fix the problem before we have something bigger than a proof-of-concept exploit.

So many ignorant "blissful" people that excuse Apple and think "It's Apple, of course it's safe". Obviously it's not. Ten serious exploits in about as many days of looking (they spent 30 days total, about an equal amount on linux and mac, and the rest on other OS's, so 10 should be right) and that is just scratching the surface. I was shocked that Apple actually had so many vulnerabilities, and for those that didn't find it scary that someone can install a program with kernel access simply by having you download their dmg file (not even opening it), well they're just being silly and need to realize that this is and some extremely bad things can happen if we are to go by that analysts words (saying OS X is not hot on security and that it is easy to find new hacks). :p

white iphone is ugly late and unnecessary so apple can keep it.. they never made it cause demand was always lower for white ones and the white design look worse on iphone 4 than on 3gs..
I guess it's just a matter of preference. I personally think the white iPhone 4 is gorgeous, while my white 3g always reminded me of an Oreo cookie.
And it seems like the demand for the white one has been pretty high since they unveiled it last year. Not to mention they have produced white iPad 2's which seem to be pretty popular.

Sure we are all making jokes about Sheen and his antics. Lets not forget 2 other notable comedians that were huge drug users that showed warning signs, Chris Farley and John Belushi. Sheen is in huge denial and will most likely kill himself at some point.
Sheen's not obese so he's not going to have complicating health issues like an overworked heart/liver/kidneys or cholesterol clogging up his arteries before the drugs even pass through. Sheen's an F18 with firebreathing fists. :)
Is Charlie Sheen a comedian? Is he talented? No. But he does appear to have an emotional health issue that could destroy him.
He was just in the Bahamas with two babe girlfriends and has a hundred million dollars - destroy me please! :D
He's living the dream. He's a rock star from Mars. Seriously. Personally, I'd rather be Keith Richards with just two remaining brain cells and lived his life than corporate middle management at the same age with all my brain cells intact.

Did ye all not read the report. The whole point is that it is a "Proximity sensor" . That it can detect your gestures while "spaced away" from the ipod. This would be no big deal if it required rubbing your greasy fingers all over the display!! Yes and it states "a touch screen display" "For multifunctional handheld devices".
