At macworld 2007 Apple will announce that you can download The Beatles music on iTunes and possible there will be a Beatles branded iPod.
An all white iPod will be introduced, while the track "Revolution #9" plays in the background.... of course, who would be the surprise musical guest on stage..... Paul or Ringo? (or maybe both... nah)

Sure, I learned on stick-shift and drove several years with a variety of cars and trucks, including 3-on-the-tree 1978 Suburban (manual steering, manual brakes, what a bear that was!)... never drove a double-clutch though.
Manuals - while they absolutely can be a fun riot - are losing their advantages over automatics, including fast-locking TCs and DCTs and such.
Car manufacturers have to certify each car type - if they offer an automatic and a manual, that's two different cars to the US government's eyes, and both have to be tested.
Plus, of all the major auto racing circuits, only NASCAR still uses stick shifts. That ought to tell people something...

I wouldn't mind seeing some Skype integration alongside the cell... When in range of a Wi-Fi, be a Skype phone (optional)... When out of Wi-Fi range, work as a cell.
Granted, it's not as smooth sounding as a real cell phone, but the way the kids in the house burn up minutes during the day, I'd rather have them use Skype so they can call their friends all they want. That is when they are wanting to talk privately (like most of the time) rather than use MSN Messenger. Maybe some Wi-Fi / Bluetooth option to use it through audio iChat, too. :-)
I doubt that they would do that, though. Especially if they end up being a virtual carrier... They'll want you to use up minutes like any cell carrier.

So long as Apple is around, I do not care if they are growing or not, nor do I want the Apple brand to become associated with ****. People already think Macs are inferior to windows... some guy IM'd me earlier today and the discussion turned to computers... I told him I use an Apple Macintosh, his first response is:

People on this board claim "app store" is generic and so the trademark is invalid. Yet the trademark application process proceeded to the point that Apple was approved to begin using it.

In this class of RAM the 2GB sticks are now less than two 1GB sticks. So I don't see why buying only 1GB sticks would be advisable any more.

Additinally, the memory access in the Mac Pro (or should I say with Intel's current FB-DIMM controller implementation) requires the second memory pair on each riser to communicate with the system by going through the the first pair and this can potentially add some latency.

No you understood right, however this may not be the case now... After doing some more digging, this is in no way a limitation of the FB-DIMM design or a requirement. But rather initial modules in smaller capacities (256 and 512 MB) were only using one of the onboard channels to increase the latency. All I can find is various discussions and references to this happening regarding various Samsung and Kingston modules... Doesn't appear that any of this is linked to modules approved by Apple or that meet Apple's specs for the Mac Pro. So I may have been off-base. I'll see what else I can dig up...

As to just web-surfing.... In the time of few years my internet-connection has moved from 512KB to 8MB. I could go to 12 or 24MB right now. The speed-increase has been FAST.
I bet your uplink is still 512k and you could perhaps upgrade to 1M, but that's it. Not very fast compared to B-spec ;) I would value a symmetric 2M/2M line more than asymmetric 12M/1M, but maybe that's just me.

From everything I can tell, the movie trailers in Front Row are 480p.
I don't think Apple would want to go below this movie trailer quality. Let's HOPE they don't want to. :)
480p would be impressive to sell at $10 and $15 IMHO. To get it delivered directly to your computer in 2-3 hours. Remember, 480p could look better than a DVD, since DVDs are 480i. Of course, it would look better unless they end up putting too much compression on the 480p.

I think iTV will have the feature of showing your Keynote presentations right right there, how easy and cool would that be. Never have to sit at a Mac again to show that presentation, just a few click by with the Apple remote. By the way I am surprised I never heard of this on the internet, it just seems logical to me to be added as a feature.

I hope the resolution is higher on the 23" iMac than it is on the 23" Apple display. I'm sure the current Apple displays (of all sizes) don't go up as high as they could.
Anyways, weren't there also rumors of 42" Apple displays or something? Or are they waiting for HDMI to come more standard an video cards since doesn't HDMI handle higher resolutions than DVI? Just think of how high the resolution on a 42" screen would be like. 4800 x 3000? At least a dozen megapixels!

What is air-like about a small tablet laptop? This is obviously a proliferation on the 'world without wires' concept...

This Asus LCD is great but even at 500 bucks very few people will buy it.
The rotating feature would be great for reading threads. ;)
Asus has this (http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=10&l2=88&l3=367&model=1136&modelmenu=1) display which includes speakers and a webcam. It would be nice if Apple introduced a similar concept with a display only. It would be prefect for the Mac mini.

There are several companies that have been working on various ways to provide power without cords "the holy grail" being the eventual elimination of power cords for all sorts of computers, applicances etc.
My guess is that they will have a 'basic' version of this workable for a low power mac laptop that can be powered in a room with a wireless power transmitter doing away with the need for a power cord. As long as you are within range, similar to a wireless signal, the mac air will be able to charge and receive power wirelessly.

Until they at least come close to matching the model that Mac The Ripper, Toast and Blockbuster 3 dvd postal rental gives me, I'll have to decline the Studios kind offer regarding rental rather than ownership.;)
