Seems to me that it is caused by a faulty video memory...
This is my guess also. I think if it was the GPU the video would be far worse or maybe not even work at all. Since the PowerBooks have dedicated video memory this can't be fixed with new system RAM as you wondered earlier in the thread.
Best solution would be a new logic board.

Honestly you'd be better off buying an intel mac mini, even the oldest intel one you could find would be better than the Powermac.
If you don't want to do that though, choose the Powermac. These things last forever so you won't need to replace the computer for a long time.

I was looking to get the Sony DSC-W7 camera mainly because my friend has the 5 MP version and I find it very nice, with its large screen and all. I can the the W7 for about $340 which I think is a good price.
My question is can anyone recommend a better camera in the 7 MP range that might be a better camera? The most I would spend is $400. and should I get a camera that can support RAW images, because this W7 one does JPG and not RAW.

Not sure the sarcastic comments and put downs were required, I thought I made it quite clear I didn't know what I was doing, hence asking for advice. To reiterate my question and perhaps make it more clear - I was hoping someone might know of a online resource or book which would give guidance on what type of font works well in certain circumstances. Such a thing might not exist as it's such a broad area and very specific to each illustration or logo, but in the interests of self improvement I thought I would ask.

I deleted my time machine preferences and started from scratch (full reset as its called). It backed up last night and then this morning it reported that the disk was full. It was more of an alert than an error. I said OK and started the next backup and it failed, same error. I've got 641GB of free space on the disk! My backup set is large but it should only be backing up the changes so it shouldn't be bombing out. Nothing on my computer changed over night (or sure as hell not 641GB worth of changes!

Obviously it's faster, but has anyone actually checked how much faster? I'd like to switch my main box to the console app but I don't want to lose all the work I've done on this WU.. Is there a way to do that, or should I just bite the bullet and lose the current WU?

OK, someone recognized the abbreviations and proved that the graph is accurate (provided the context I noted was absent). One could also come up with another arbitrary explanation for the graph involving a parabolic piece-wise function given the fact that you can't infer specific curvature characteristics from a hand-drawn graph. It doesn't magically invalidate my point. The point was to show that there could be a logical explanation for the graph and the submission was stupid. That point was made.
For instance, lacking a scale, let's suppose that graph passes through (0,0), (1,1) and (2,0). This results in an equation of y = -x^2 +2x. However, we notice that to the right of 1, we should have a decreasing dependent variable. However, they share a common point, 1. When x = 1, n = 1 (using the alphabetic rather than the Greek for simplicity's sake). Also, when x = 2, n should be 0, to flip about the point of 1. When x = 0, n should be 2 (again, flipping about 1). This results in n = -x + 2. It depends, there are companies who know how to fix it and there are companies who do not. I have the five star shaped screws and in most cases with these screws, the proximity usually never works. Mine on the other hand works flawlessly so once again do your research and see which company can resolve that issue.
Will the earpiece work?
Im not even sure why people are heaving earpiece problems, i was watching the whole process of my iPhone being converted (Asking questions, being nosy, and annoying) and there nothing to do with the ear speaker being connected, removed, or disconnected. I do see something that might be a problem, the new speaker mesh i have in my white kit has glue on it so it might clog it up later on with dust.
Are these faulty in all white conversions?
You need to do your research and you have to really go into detail with each of these companies. If i was you, i would not trust anything below $200 unless its a kit.
How bad is the camera really?
I think over the time that i have been on these forums, i have heard so many issues with the camera and primarily because people forget to remove a film on the back or on the camera lens it self. Camera should not be an issue unless you're missing the flash diffuser, if you miss that then most likely you will have white bleed through. The only way a part can be missing a diffuser is if its really cheap quality.

I agree with others that there will continue to be good deals on the iBook in the future.
You have to be very careful about the 120 days same as cash deal. I have no contact with the current company. The one prior would charge interest from day one if not paid off by the 120th day. So be very careful.
Just purchase whenever you feel comfortable. Best to buy what you need when you need the Mac.
